Time is a critical and often controlling factor. Because sometimes you HAVE it, and at other times you DON’T. The opportunity of a lifetime has to be seized during the lifetime of the opportunity.
Welcome to “Mornings with Bishop Robert” — I’m glad you had the time to join me today, come on in and have a seat. My goal is to introduce people to the Jesus they never knew, and help them get to know Him and His word personally – and better ! If our time together today speaks to your heart, then let me invite you to like, subscribe and share it with a friend!
TIME – sometimes you HAVE it, and at other times you DON’T.
My friend Lacy was an excellent example. He spent over 30 years as a Silicon Valley software industry CEO, and we met when he joined the team at the venture capital and private equity firm where I’m an Operating Partner. Lacy was recognized as CEO of the Year by Insider Magazine, awarded Entrepreneur of the Year by the Harvard Business School Club and twice led companies into the prestigious Inc 500 as their CEO.
Then almost two years ago, just moments after he got out of bed, Lacy had a massive heart attack. He did not survive it.
Lacy and I had spoken about his faith a number of times. He had a quiet faith in Christ, but knew him as his savior. I’m encouraged by that fact, because the end came so quickly for Lacy that he would have had no time to make that decision before he passed away.
Today’s verse provides the key to the most important decision you will ever make.
IF ANYONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, GOD LIVES IN THEM AND THEY IN GOD
Time IS a critical and often controlling factor. Because sometimes you HAVE it, and at other times you DON’T.
But when we consider the time allotted to our lives, none of us knows the answer to the question, “What time is it?”
That fateful morning at 6:30am Lacy thought he still had plenty of time left on earth.
By 7:00am Lacy knew better.
My point, albeit blunt, is that YOU do not know what time it is either. None of us does.
But since you are reading this, you do still have time NOW. And so NOW is the time for you to consider the question of Jesus. Have you acknowledged His Lordship? Does He live in you?
IF ANYONE ACKNOWLEDGES THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD, GOD LIVES IN THEM AND THEY IN GOD
You are, of course, free to make any decision you wish. But I encourage you to consider it well, and to make it carefully.
Most of all, I beg you NOT to put it off.
We’ve been pretty busy here at the Gosselin household. As you can see from the disarray in my office, we’ve got a lot of work going on in our home. Some renovations, and lots of painting.
Deciding what color a room will be painted is a relatively minor decision. Where you will spend eternity is the most major decision ever.
Time is a critical and often controlling factor. Because sometimes you HAVE it, and at other times you DON’T.
And when you CAN’T know what time it is FOR YOU, the only time you have for certain is NOW.
If you are not certain how to make the decision to acknowledge Jesus, message me on this platform.
You have a very important decision to make.
Do it while you still have time.
