Here’s a bit of a twist on the standard daily devotional.
Today’s verse is a simple two-step process. It says,
- “GIVE THANKS to the Lord and proclaim His greatness,” and then
- “LET THE WHOLE WORLD KNOW what He has done.”
It is far too easy to listen to the word of God, and listen, and listen, and listen. BUT never to act upon it. That’s not a healthy approach to life.
So today I’m going to invite YOU to act upon what God says.
Here’s the question — Are you grateful to God for ANYTING He’s done for you? What’s the first thing that comes to mind? If you stop and think for a moment, something will certainly come to mind.
FIRST take some time to give thanks to God. Just speak with Him and tell Him “Thank You” for whatever it is you’re grateful.
SECOND, and this is a bit tougher, I’d like you to POST a reply here and tell “the whole world” what you are thankful for. If you’re reading this on a social media platform like LinkedIn, Facebook or Instagram you can just write a comment. If you’re reading this on the CEEC.CHURCH web page, you can click the “Contact Us” button on the top of the page and send a message that way.
So please — GO AHEAD and let us know what YOU’RE grateful for. Don’t put it off, take a moment and do it now, won’t you?
When you ACT on the Word of God, you’ll also find that the word of God will act on you. Only obedience let’s you see that work in your own life.
